What is a Resiliency Center?

A Resiliency Center is a community hub that helps people prepare for, get through, and recover from tough situations—especially emergencies like extreme heat, power outages, storms, fires, or other local disruptions.

What it does in everyday life

Connects people to local resources and support
Offers programs like classes, training, and community services (varies by location)
Helps strengthen the community so people are better supported day-to-day

What it does during an emergency

Provides a safe place to cool down or warm up
May offer phone/device charging and basic supplies (depending on the situation)
Shares trusted information and helps people find the right help quickly

What it does after an emergency

Helps connect people to recovery support and services
Provides guidance on next steps and available local assistance

What is Community Solar

Community solar allows individuals and businesses to support local solar energy and save on electricity bills without installing panels on their property. Subscribers buy a share of an off-site community solar farm and receive credits on their utility bills for their portion of the power produced.
